“Hometown Recipes” Available

The new St. Vincent de Paul cookbook, “Hometown Recipes” is now available.  This collection of delicious recipes from dozens of St. Vincent de Paul conference members from the Greater Miami Valley would make a great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer.  It may be purchased from any St. Vincent de Paul Conference within the Dayton District Council as well as at St. Vincent Hotel, 120 W. Apple Street, and at the Administration Office located at 1133 Edwin C Moses Blvd., Suite 300.  The cost is $10 and all proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will benefit the St. Vincent Hotel.

The cost for the printing of our cookbook was donated by the Charles M. Uhl, Jr. and Teresa D. Uhl Family Foundation.   We extend our thanks to the Uhl Family.

Daddy Stories

Updated on Oct 10, 2007

As a gift, Dayton Judge A.J. Wagner has offered us 1,000 copies of his book Daddy Stories.  It is a compilation of 26 stories that come from seeing, being and listening to fathers.

We are offering this book for $10.00 to include shipping and handling with all proceeds going to the St. Vincent Hotel.  Checks should be made payable to St. Vincent Hotel, Inc.

Copies will be available at the Hotel, at DePaul Center and at the administrative office at the Job Center, or simply mail your request and $10.00 to St. Vincent de Paul, 1133 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., #300, Dayton, OH 45408, and your copy will be sent to you by return mail.

As Judge Wagner says on the opening page:  “There are plenty of fathers.  Everyone has one.  But daddies are hard to find.”

Our grateful appreciation goes to Judge A.J. Wagner for his most thoughtful and generous gift on behalf of the St. Vincent Hotel.
